Freda Ferne was a primary school teacher for twenty years.  After taking early retirement she travelled to Bhutan, which has become an enduring interest.  Finding there were no books written for children about this little known Buddhist Kingdom in the Himalayas Freda set out to fill the gap.  This book is the result.  Freda currently lives in Wiltshire where she keeps chickens and sheep.
